Friends & Family!!
How excited I am to be writing to you today!! I’m here to give you a little update on my life, what God has been doing and where He is taking me!
Over this past 8 months God has taken me on quite the journey!! Starting with a mission trip to Nepal, to being accepted into college and plans to start bible college in Texas, to God completely redirecting my graduation plans. He really did have these plans in the works for 8 months but… to my original & oblivious mindset it was a change that took 3 months. Here’s how it went…
Starting with returning home from Nepal in July, I was absolutely heart broken to leave. As some of you know I absolutely loved it there but I didn’t really realize that until it was time to leave. And even more so in the months to come. When I had to leave that beautiful country, I was standing there, about to leave for the airport and I was genuinely trying to figure out ways to stay (as if THAT was possible..oh my goodness). I came home and over those next 6 months I worked through the awful feeling of not being there. I absolutely hated being home if I’m being honest. Yes, I had good days and I wouldn’t trade all the awesome times for the world, but in a general sense, I did not want to be here. Everything was mediocre. I couldn’t enjoy anything or even be okay with being here because I had no definite plans of going back on the mission field. Not being able to do that was so hard because of how much my heart for missions had grown. I have become so extremely passionate for over seas ministry that it’s hard to handle not being in that environment at times. Anyways, I had finalized plans to move to Texas and go to a bible college and major in Global Missions. I would finish that and then afterward I would possibly try to get back into the ministry of missions. I was excited but… I wasn’t PASSIONATE. Having a passion is something I believe to be extremely important in what you are doing with your life. I had such a passion for missions and I couldn’t bear the thought of not doing that for years. It’s interesting..the moment I had laid that pursuit to rest and come to peace with where God was leading me, He started to stir things up. He started to change those life directions and He started to bless me with the gift of fulfilling my passions. He opened the door plain and obvious. It was as if He were saying “okay Julie, you don’t have to wait to pursue your calling. I’m going to set you straight onto that field RIGHT NOW.” What an exciting thing to experience, right?? The fact that I get to jump straight into ministry is honestly a dream come true.
So, with all this said, I am so stoked to announce that I will be leaving for 3 months in January of 2021!! Where will I be going, some of you may be wondering. Well as some of you know I have had a huge passion and pull toward South Asia for years. As I wasn’t able to go there last year because of legal reasons, I went to Nepal instead. I am so grateful God led me there because over time since that trip God has expanded my heart for Nepal just as He did my heart for missions. When I leave for 3 months I will have the chance to pursue that pull toward South Asia and I will also have the opportunity to fill that hole that Nepal left, by going back!! YES! That’s right! I get to go to both these countries and I couldn’t be more excited to start this journey and bring you guys along with me!
Along with all this excitement, to get there I’m going to need to fundraise about $7,000. I believe through the power of God, I can get there. I will be doing lots of things to fundraise in the future but if you are interested in helping out, it will be gratefully accepted and you can do so through the link attached below. Something I also would be so grateful for would be if you guys could pray over this and over my journey if you feel led!
If you would like to stay updated and follow me along in this journey or if you have any questions and what to talk to me, please do!! I will leave my social media, contact info, and blog info all listed below!
Thank you for sticking with me if you have reached this point in the letter! Grateful for you all! – jewels (:
